I've been a rock and gem collector for years. My mosaic works feature semi-precious stones, broken tiles, ceramics, glass and found objects. I embed rocks, crystals or semi-precious gems such as carnelian, jasper or quartz, for both their color and to include some energy from the earth. I find things in melted snow, in the desert and in forests and if they can fit in my suitcase, I take them home. For me, making art is meditation, math and mystery.
My necklaces and bracelets feature natural gemstones and various metal accents, from sterling to copper.
